PASTORAL CARE AND COUNSELING MINISTRY

Life has many transitions and difficulties that arise. Those on the pastoral care team are specifically trained to walk beside you through adversity and life’s challenges. If you or a family member are experiencing depression, anxiety, illness, grief, marriage or family struggles, parenting challenges, or any type of crisis, we want to meet with you and support you on your journey of healing, hope, and spiritual renewal.

The Care and Counseling Ministry offers several types of support designed to minister to individuals, couples, and families in the form of prayer, pastoral visitations, pastoral counseling, crisis response, and referrals to local helping agencies. Explore the dropdowns below for more information.

Prayer Ministry

We would love to pray with you and for you! If you or someone you know has a need, a member of the Pastoral Care team will be assigned to come alongside you. You can meet in person, through Zoom video, or over the phone for guidance, encouragement, and prayer. Contact us and one of our Pastoral Care team members will get in touch with you.

Pastoral Visitation

We are happy to visit and offer prayer for those who are sick or injured in the hospital or in a nursing home when local social distancing policies allow.  We also provide and encourage video chat virtual visits to minister to people in the midst of these challenging life circumstances through prayer and support.

Pastoral Counseling

Pastoral counseling and coaching are available at Smoky Hill Vineyard. You can meet individually or as a couple or family with a trained staff member for pastoral guidance, encouragement, counseling, and prayer. If you are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, marriage or family struggles, or even parenting challenges, we can help. Pastoral counseling is also available through a secure video platform, affording you complete privacy both in scheduling and in your meetings. Simply schedule your counseling session online with Dr. Amy Moore, Pastor of Care and Counseling, or with the on-call pastor from our pastoral staff.

MENTAL HEALTH REFERRAL SUPPORT

Sometimes mental health problems require a higher level of care than we can offer through the church. We can help you find the help you need in the local community. We have a list of vetted licensed mental health providers and can work with you to find the right fit for your individual needs.

Domestic Violence

If you are a victim of domestic violence or abuse, please contact T.E.S.S.A for further support and care at 719.633.1462.

Suicide

If you are contemplating suicide or you suspect someone in your life is going to harm themselves, call 911 or the Suicide Support Hotline by dialing 988 immediately!
